A project that seeks to increase opportunities for the youth by creating a fulfilling and dignified job has been launched.
Dubbed: “Young Africa Works” Project, is an initiative of Mastercard Foundation and National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI).
Commending the two institutions for an outstanding Young Africa Works partnership, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Ghana’s First Lady, said: “Their partnership will certainly unlock opportunities for the youth and put the architects of Ghana’s economic transformation to work.
“According to her, the initiative, that also aligns with President Nana Addo’s ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’ agenda would cover a three-year period and create 39,000 jobs adding that; “70 per cent of which will be women, ” she said.
Mrs Akufo-Addo noted that, the Project would target graduate youth, out of school youth, school dropouts, and women-owned led micro, small and medium enterprises
