Aduana Stars have replaced Ashanti Gold as leaders of the Ghana Premier League after a 0-1 win away at Dreams FC.
Aduana defender Isaac Kwain’s 78th-minute free-kick from about 25 yards deflected against a 4-man human wall past Dreams goalkeeper Godfred Amoah into the post.
Aduana now leads the 18-team league log on superior goal-difference ahead of Berekum Chelsea.
Second-placed Berekum Chelsea hammered King Faisal 4-2 while Kotoko are third after defeating Bechem United 3-1 on Friday.
Meanwhile, leaders after matchday 11, Ashanti Gold suffered their heaviest defeat this season after losing 6-1 to WAFA in Sogakope. A brace from Konadu Yiadom and a goal each from Haruna Jalilu Mola, Daniel Owusu and Ibrahim Abukari WAFA the resounding victory at Sogakope. Amos Kofi Nkrumah scored the consolation goal for Ashanti Gold.
