Ayeyi Yiadom-Boakye was born with osteogenesis Imperfecta, otherwise known as Brittle Bones Disease. As a lifelong genetic disorder, it causes bones to break very easily, usually without any type of injury.

Today, 6th May is Wishbone Day. A day celebrating individuals with brittle bones, like beautiful Ayeyi and create awareness about Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

The colour Yellow is being used to commemorate the day signifying optimism and positive attitude.

elsieopinari.com is using the day to celebrate the astute and inspirational Ayeyi Yiadom-Boakye for not making life’s challenge hold her back but bracing it beautifully and breaking the glass ceiling with her brilliance, intelligence, talent and beautiful free spirit.

Congratulations Ayeyi, we love and are very proud of you. 💛
