“I’m a nurse who contracted COVID-19.
“The hospital I work in made me go home for 2 weeks with vitamin C only.
“After 2 weeks I still have signs and symptoms of COVID and the management of the hospital are forcing me to go on annual leave.
“My annual leave date is in October but they are forcing me to go on my annual leave instead of sick leave.
“When I told them I have to test negative first before I can go on my annual leave, they told me WHO said after 2 weeks of contracting the virus, is assumed the person is negative so I have to go on my annual leave.
“I told them if I am negative then they should make me come to work till my actual date for my leave is due.
“I went to Weija Gabwe hospital where I did the COVID test for review and got a sick leave for another 14 days with new medications.
“The hospital management says they won’t accept the sick leave and that I should proceed on my annual leave instead.
“I work in a Catholic facility and I have reported it to Catholic authorities but nothing is been done about this.
“I’m been unfairly treated just because I have COVID.
“I need help on this matter, “What should i do?” she asks.
